Pomona, CA.-April 2009—ISC Engineering has engaged in a variety of OEM projects in the Renewable Energy, Lighting and Solar Energy industries with custom Over-molded Solutions. Common to these environments are the requirements for outdoor rated connector and cable assembly solutions, incorporating IP66 and IP67 performance. In addition new regulatory requirements for F1 rated materials combined with the rugged outdoor environments, creates new challenges in overmold technology. PV arrays in the Solar require a variety of interconnect solutions between panels, inverters and control systems. Overmolding can provide a cost effective and reliable solution connector and cable terminations. In addition, many GREEN products are innovative in intelligent cable assembly solutions, incorporating embedded circuitry into the interconnect systems.
